Statement of Intent 

At Westleigh Methodist Primary School, we are committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion and ensuring that all members of our school community are treated fairly, with dignity and respect. 

As part of Epworth Education Trust, we recognise our responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 and the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED). We actively seek to remove barriers, improve outcomes and create a culture where everyone feels valued and able to flourish.

School Context 

Westleigh Methodist Primary is a one form entry Primary with 221 children on role. We can accommodate a maximum of 4 2 year olds and 13 3-4 year olds in a single session in our nursery, where children attend for a morning or afternoon with some provision for full days. The school was judged to be Good by OFSTED in October 2019 and Outstanding by SIAMS Church in September 2017.

All parts of the school building can be accessed from ground level, with a staircase and lift within the building to ensure it is accessible throughout by all. There are one accessible toilets on the premises. The building is well maintained and all areas and classrooms have disabled access.
