The SEND Unit at Westleigh Methodist Primary School is a Local Authority-commissioned provision.

Places are allocated by the Local Authority through the statutory Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process.

Children placed within the SEND Unit will typically:

• Have an EHCP
• Have autism identified as a primary area of need, alongside associated cognition and learning needs
• Benefit from a specialist small-group environment, with planned and supported opportunities for inclusion within mainstream learning

We are always happy to speak with families who would like to find out more about our provision. However, all formal placements are agreed and allocated by the Local Authority through the EHCP consultation process.
